How local businesses respond to the COVID-19 crisis? This question was answered in a recent SUNRISE webinar as representatives from the city of Groningen and Zaragoza shared their best practices related to local e-commerce schemes.
Groningen even found solutions to integrate local transport companies in the local scheme. Instead of using multi-national logistics companies, items bought on the local e-commerce platform were delivered by cargo bike (bakfiets).
Furthermore, the ‘Zaragoza Logistics Centre’ presented their tools, which enable local business to create a digital store front.
